Man-made materials that are considered artificial, such as concrete, and natural resources, like clay and loam, are closely related. They are based on the same basic materials, either taken from nature or further developed from it.
Notorious Drifter echoes thoughts about the origins of building materials and the geological processes involved in their formation: material is pushed, crushed, heated, deformed, melted, and reformed by glaciers ...or machines. The categories natural and artificial merge in the figurative-abstract visual language of the works shown.
