Performance at Raumschiff Linz, 2016, duration: 45mins
The performance begins with three cylindrical molds standing in the center of the room. One by one, I carry several buckets of previously prepared aerated concrete mass into the room. Filling the mass into the molds produces a splashing sound. I leave the room after the fourth bucket is filled into the mold and the aerated concrete begins to react after a few minutes. It heats up during the chemical reaction and begins to melt the mold and emit smoke. After about 20 minutes of reaction, the concrete cylinders solidify and remain as relics of the performance in the exhibition space.
